Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using a5k.fast ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Platform Description

a5k.fast is a pay-per-question platform that connects students (question askers) with senseis (expert answerers) using Solana blockchain payments. We facilitate connections and escrow payments but are not a party to any agreement between students and senseis.

3. Platform Fee

a5k.fast charges a 5% platform fee on all completed transactions. This fee is automatically deducted at the time of payment release. For example, if a student pays 0.1 SOL, the sensei receives 0.095 SOL and 0.005 SOL is retained as the platform fee.

4. Escrow and Payments

• All payments are held in escrow in a centralized house wallet controlled by a5k.fast pending answer delivery.
• Payment is automatically released to the sensei when the student opens the sensei's answer.
• If the sensei has not answered, the student may withdraw their escrowed funds at any time. A small gas fee (network transaction fee) will be deducted from the refund amount and is borne by the student.
• Escrowed funds are held on the Solana blockchain. While we take reasonable precautions to secure the house wallet, a5k.fast is not responsible for any loss of funds due to blockchain network failures, smart contract bugs, hacking, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
• All transactions are final once payment is released. a5k.fast does not offer refunds after payment release.

5. Why We Use a Centralized Escrow Wallet

Unlike fully decentralized smart contract escrow, a5k.fast uses a centralized house wallet to hold escrowed funds. We chose this approach intentionally for the following reasons:

• Dispute Resolution: A centralized escrow allows us to intervene in cases of clear fraud, technical errors, or platform bugs. In a fully decentralized system, funds would be locked by code with no ability to assist users if something goes wrong.
• Error Recovery: If a transaction fails mid-process due to network issues or bugs, we can manually investigate and correct the situation. Smart contracts cannot be changed once deployed.
• User Protection: New users to crypto and blockchain technology are less likely to lose funds due to human error (such as wrong wallet addresses) when a trusted intermediary is involved.
• Flexibility: We can implement features like refunds, withdrawal options, and dispute handling that would be extremely complex or impossible in a pure smart contract system.
• Platform Integrity: We can remove bad actors, freeze suspicious transactions, and protect the community in ways that a decentralized system cannot.

6. Sensei Responsibilities

• Senseis must register using a verified LinkedIn or Twitter/X account.
• Senseis must provide honest, good-faith answers to questions they accept.
• Senseis are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and quality of their answers.
• Senseis must not impersonate other individuals or misrepresent their credentials.
• a5k.fast reserves the right to remove any sensei profile that violates these terms.

7. Student Responsibilities

• Students must ask questions in good faith and not attempt to misuse the platform.
• Students acknowledge that answers provided by senseis are opinions and should not be construed as professional legal, financial, medical, or other regulated advice.
• Students are responsible for verifying the credentials and qualifications of senseis independently.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. a5k.fast DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, QUALITY, OR USEFULNESS OF ANY ANSWERS PROVIDED BY SENSEIS. USE OF THE PLATFORM IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, a5k.fast SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF FUNDS, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

10. Blockchain Risks

You acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of blockchain technology, including but not limited to: price volatility of SOL, network congestion, transaction failures, and loss of private keys. a5k.fast is not responsible for any losses resulting from these risks.

11. Content and Conduct

Users must not post illegal, defamatory, fraudulent, or harmful content. a5k.fast reserves the right to remove any content or suspend any account that violates these terms or applicable laws.

12. Privacy

We collect minimal user data necessary to operate the platform, including wallet addresses, LinkedIn/Twitter profile information provided during registration, and transaction records. We do not sell your data to third parties.

13. Modifications

a5k.fast reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration.
